Kikoc and Nora first met while they were living in Tokyo, and later they crossed paths again while raising families in Zurich. The birth of IPSUM ALII stemmed from numerous discussions that led to the realization that, despite living their dream lives, they, like many busy working mothers, often felt exhausted with minimal time for themselves – a sentiment often reflected in their skin condition. Recalling their peaceful moments in Japan, from indulging in hot spring onsen baths to exploring the world of medicinal Kampo herbs, which not only rejuvenated their skin but also enhanced their overall well-being, they decided to embark on a mission. Their goal was to restore balance to their hectic lives, remove obstacles, reinvigorate their entire systems, and introduce Japan’s potent Kampo philosophy to Europe through a range of holistic and clean skincare products exclusively crafted in Japan.
