Françoise Jeffrey is a ceramic artist based in the Netherlands.

Her artistic creations are characterized by their organic shapes, with each piece being unique. Meticulously handcrafted, every artwork carries its own unique character, highlighting the inherent beauty of the clay.

Françoise`s journey in pottery began during her childhood, where her fascination with the art form took root.
In 2020, Françoise embarked on a sabbatical following the loss of her mother the previous year. During this challenging period, ceramics became her solace, helped her grief and healing.

With each creation, she pays homage to her mother, honoring her memory and preserving her spirit.
In a heartfelt tribute to her mother, Françoise Jeffrey has chosen to dedicate all her vessels by starting their names with "modder" which translates to "mud" in Dutch and sounds like mother. This symbolic gesture serves as a loving reminder for you to take good care of yourself, by always trusting your instincts. It reflects the way her mother used to do and how the artist strives to do the same each day.

It is her mother`s courage that the artist would like to pass on with her objects.
